Objects from Home: A Tiny Hours Screening & Sip-and-Sketch Fundraiser
Join us for an evening that blends film, memory, and creative expression. We’ll begin with a screening of REW-FFWD, a 30-minute documentary exploring home, culture, and the quiet stories held in everyday objects.
After the film, the space transforms into a still-life studio featuring familiar items found in Jamaican households. Objects that hold warmth, history, and lived experience. Bring a sketchbook or use the materials provided, and spend time drawing, connecting, and reflecting.
All proceeds support families in Jamaica affected by hurricane Melissa.
About the film, REW-FFWD:
In this film by Denis Villeneuve, a young photographer is on assignment in Jamaica. It's a cultural shock! First anguished, he later becomes quite fascinated by the people he meets, their neighbourhood and their music.
